Reading Minds For Progress
Good Morning Rogues!
I hope you’re another week closer!
Lately my head has been down in trying to build my business so deep that I completely forgot to send a newsletter last week!
It didn’t even cross my mind.
It means good stuff is brewing though!
….At least that’s what I keep telling myself :)
This last two weeks, I’m constantly reminded that I have to be dedicated to helping other people get what they want in order to get what I want.
If you’re familiar with 7 Habits, you already know this though.
If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a definite must-read.
Back to the point though…
Whether they’re your customers, colleagues or employees, you’ve gotta rearrange your thinking to help them get what they want first.
That is actually the quickest way possible to what you want.
If you want your boss’s position for example, can you do anything that helps clear the way for their promotion? If they get promoted, there’s likely to be an availability that should be filled by you.
It’s a different approach to personal gain, but man, it makes the world a nice place at the same time.
For me, the focus is to help my salespeople get what they want. I know the faster I can get them all cashing $20k checks every month, the faster I get what I want.
So in my silent moments, I focus my mental effort there, and implement strategies to help them achieve that.
Take some time this weekend to reflect on how you can help someone around you get what they want - it will open doors you didn’t expect.
Maybe pick up a copy of Steven Covey’s 7 Habits too…
Or just ask Chat GPT to give you the 80/20 rule on it.
